Today, the Commission has published its decision not to renew the Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (CBER), the Regulation exempting container shipping lines from parts of general EU competition law so they can co-operate together in consortia to provide shared services for their customers.

All of the vehicles that supply fuel to aircraft at Dublin Airport will be powered by more environmentally friendly HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) after airport operator daa teamed up with logistics partner Exolum to carry out a refit of the fuel supply station at the airport fuel farm. The switch to HVO will mean 300,000 fewer litres of diesel will be used at Dublin Airport by the fleet of trucks that supply fuel to aircraft on the airfield.

Volumes declined by 3.6% to end June as the war in Ukraine, global inflation and a slower than expected recovery in China from Covid-19 lockdown dampened international and domestic demand with the Central Statistics Office showing Ireland entering a technical recession in the early part of 2023.
