Commission launches the European Ports Alliance Public Private Partnership to fight organised crime and drug trafficking

Today, the Commission and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, together with Member States, ports authorities, European associations, EU Agencies (Europol, EMCDDA) and representatives from customs and law enforcement authorities are launching the European Ports Alliance Public Private Partnership. The partnership aims to bring all relevant stakeholders together, to form solutions to protect ports from drug trafficking and criminal infiltration.

Dublin Port Company (DPC) has today announced that it has granted a new operating licence to CMA CGM Inland Services (CCIS), a subsidiary of CMA CGM Group, to begin operating at Dublin Inland Port. The investment will create 25 new jobs.

Postcodes in EORI records - change impacting AES and NCTS from 1st February 2024

This month, IIFA received notice from CLECAT of a significant change impacting all EORI-registered Economic Operators from 1st February 2024 onwards. As of this date, those without a valid postcode in their EORI records will be unable to use the NCTS and/or AES systems. Consequently, initiating transit or AES based export procedures will be impossible with an EORI registration lacking a postcode.

Overhaul of Dublin Airport's Fuel Supply Station Will See 300,000 Litres of Diesel Replaced by HVO

All of the vehicles that supply fuel to aircraft at Dublin Airport will be powered by more environmentally friendly HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) after airport operator daa teamed up with logistics partner Exolum to carry out a refit of the fuel supply station at the airport fuel farm. The switch to HVO will mean 300,000 fewer litres of diesel will be used at Dublin Airport by the fleet of trucks that supply fuel to aircraft on the airfield.
