The graduation for the Introduction to Freight Forwarding course took place on Tuesday, 28th May 2024, with a number of students in attendance from across the groups in the 2023-2024 academic year. This year saw increased demand for the course, led by Vincent Brennan, with the need for two class groups in the second semester.
55 students took part in the course between September 2023 and May 2024. The majority of the students were based in Member companies of the IIFA.
In total, there have been almost 120 students taking part in the Introduction to Freight Forwarding Course since its inception in 2022. It has been well received for the amount of industry knowledge it provides across the sector. The majority of students who took part found that the learnings in the course can be applied to their current roles.
The Introduction course serves as a light-touch entry into academic study of the industry, providing those new to the industry or working within companies in more administrative roles to develop a broader knowledge basis than they might pick up during the normal course of their employment.
The next course begins in September 2024. Places will open during the summer. Contact info@iifa.ie for more information or to register your interest.
