FIATA’s 4x Regional Groups have traditionally met at the annual FIATA Headquarters Session and World Congresses. As a new initiative, FIATA will host regional meetings for these dedicated groups annually. The inaugural Region Europe Field Meeting will take place across 3rd + 4th September 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic. What follows is a news piece from FIATA:
We are living in an era of rapid change. Long-standing certainties are shifting, and globalisation is facing new challenges. Concepts like nearshoring and regionalisation are becoming central to business strategies, as companies adapt to evolving economic and geopolitical realities. FIATA recognises these trends and the increasing importance of regional issues in transport, customs, and trade policy. While the FIATA World Congress remains a cornerstone of our global engagement, regional meetings have proven to be invaluable for addressing specific regional challenges in a focused and practical manner.
We are pleased to announce that the inaugural 2025 FIATA-Region Europe (REU) Field Meeting will take place on the 3rd to 4th September 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic. The FIATA-REU Field Meeting will provide FIATA Members and Partners with a dedicated platform to discuss regional priorities, exchange best practices, and respond dynamically to emerging developments. The event will be co-hosted by the Association of Forwarding and Logistics of Czech Republic (SSL).
Key Topics for Discussion will include:
✅ The future of regional logistics and trade corridors
✅ Customs and regulatory updates in Europe
✅ Geopolitical shifts and their impact on freight forwarding
✅ Sustainability and digitalisation in logistics
Dr. Petr Rožek says, "As the Chair of the local organising committee and on behalf of SSL and FIATA, I warmly invite you and your colleagues, friends, and Association Members to join us in Prague. It will be my personal pleasure to welcome you to our historic city, facilitate insightful discussions, and ensure that your visit is both productive and enjoyable."
