Daily Departure Service From Ireland And UK To Europe Is In Demand

Since Network International Cargo (NIC) began the Daily Export Service, they have transported over 10,000 pallets and moved over 2,500 shipments servicing all of mainland Europe.

The plan is to provide a daily shipping solution which does not cost significantly more than traditional services, such as air freight services, where their customers pay only for the space used when shipping on non-traditional days, similar to current standard services.

This allows companies to be more flexible with their production schedules and increase output across a larger production window, and at the same time reducing the need to ship on express vehicles or as full loads and thereby mitigate any delays between finished production and departure. This will also reduce storage needs and associated costs for manufacturers, putting producers on a more even footing with their European counterparts.

The service offering should cater to customers with specific needs of gaining quick entry to market without significant overspend, with the aim of offering a solution that provides an express option whilst lowering current spending.

NIC's unique value proposition is a daily shipping service reducing lead-times into the EU market and providing manufacturers with equivalency to their EU competitors. Their aim is to service customers who need a more flexible option to standard shipping services and who are not in a position to outlay higher costs for express requirements.

By being in a position to ship with minimal downtime following production, this will allow NIC's customers to invoice their customers quicker and in turn allow for quicker receipt of payments, all of which should aid cash flow.

Poor cash flow can impact even profitable companies, and by offering additional benefits that are not just within their operations scope NIC expect that this will add further value to the service being proposed.

The benefits gained should allow manufacturers the opportunity for greater investment of resources into their core products and processes, and provide greater scope for production across multiple days, with minimal downtime between finished production and departure to market, similar to benefits experienced by their European counterparts.
