As part of its successful collaboration with a long-standing customer in Poland, cargo-partner has recently demonstrated its commitment to flexibility and reliability with a series of large-scale shipments by block train and air freight.
cargo-partner, a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., has recently completed several shipments by block train and air freight to enable time-critical shipments for a prominent pan-European discount variety retailer.
“We are pleased to have successfully supported our customer with these critical shipments. Our team’s dedication to seamless coordination and high service standards have once again proven cargo-partner’s capability in delivering complex logistics solutions,” said Felix Miletich, Corporate Director Product Management Rail at cargo-partner.
At the beginning of August, cargo-partner organized the transport of nearly 160 forty-foot containers from six origin locations in China to Poland, Hungary, and Romania. The first 18 containers are already on their way to Malaszewicze and Budapest. However, the majority of the shipments were handled in two dedicated block trains departing from Xi’an.
The first block train departed on August 12, with 55 containers on their way to Malaszewicze. The second is scheduled to depart on August 14, with 13 containers bound for Malaszewicze and 42 containers bound for Budapest. The remaining 29 containers will be transported using cargo-partner’s regular train connections.
This large-scale operation underscores cargo-partner’s ability to offer tailored solutions, enabling the retailer to meet critical deadlines while providing cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives to air freight.
In addition to the rail transport, cargo-partner successfully managed an urgent air freight shipment of nearly 40 tons from India to Poland. This included 18 shipments from seven suppliers, meticulously coordinated by the dedicated cargo-partner team in Poznań to ensure the retailer’s products arrived in time for an important promotional campaign.
Despite production delays, cargo-partner ensured timely delivery through detailed planning and timely preparation of all necessary customs documents. The shipments arrived on schedule, meeting the retailer’s tight deadlines and highlighting cargo-partner’s organizational capabilities.
The retailer expressed their satisfaction with the high-quality communication and constant updates provided throughout the process, praising the reliability and efficiency demonstrated by cargo-partner.
