2024 IIFA FIATA Diploma Graduation Ceremony

The 2024 IIFA FIATA Diploma Graduation ceremony took place on Saturday 28th September 2024 in the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport.

Of 37 successful participants, 30 graduates were in attendance to receive their FIATA Diplomas from Irish International Freight Association. In opening the ceremony, IIFA President Sandra Morrissey commented that “the standard of the results this year has been exceptionally high and this is a testament to the hard work you have all put in this year so I would extend my congratulations to you all on your efforts to attain the FIATA Diplomas you are receiving today.”

The FIATA Diploma is an internationally recognised qualification, with FIATA National Association Members across the world delivering their own localised FIATA Diploma programmes and hosting their own Graduation events. The Graduates receiving their Diplomas at this ceremony in North Country Dublin can stand shoulder to shoulder with their international FIATA Diploma Graduates in Countries such as Canada, Singapore, Turkey and over 50 others.

In addition to their Diploma document from FIATA, each Graduate was also presented with a custom-made Glass Trophy from Irish International Freight Association in recognition of their hard work and success in achieving the FIATA Diploma.

“When I look at the industry today and also when I look forward to the future, I can see how more advancements such as smart phones, social media, artificial intelligence etc has taken the industry to new levels where we will all have to continue to develop and grow and acquire new skills along our journey in order to keep developing our personal growth,” Sandra reflected. “I believe that you will all continue to embrace these exciting new challenges in this fast paced ever evolving industry and I feel extremely confident that the future of Logistics is in safe hands.”

In closing the ceremony, IIFA Executive Officer Seamus Kavanagh encouraged those persons under 35 years of age to consider participating in the recently opened 2025 Young Irish Freight Forwarder of the Year award, another initiative from IIFA to give recognition to the hard and creative work of the Irish Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance industry.

IIFA continue to deliver the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding, now in its 17th year directly through the Association. In pursuit of high standards to ensure timely and relevant content, IIFA updates its course material regularly and will have their course material submitted to FIATA for its 4th re-validation in early 2025.
